We love Elaine May to death, but there are good reasons why this espionage comedy is a famous failure—mainly a serious lack of pacing, absurdly low production values (particularly given the money blown) and a humor deficiency. Adjani plays straight girl to Dustin Hoffman and Warren Beatty.
