The plot of Aronofsky’s debut, which involves a tormented computer genius and his attempts to discover patterns in the stock market via a mathematical equivalent of the Rosetta stone, is apt to tie your noggin in knots. But heady folks will dig this indie hit’s high-contrast b&w cinematography and those harrowing flights of aesthetic fancy.
