The New World

Malick’s retelling of the Pocahontas–John Smith affair moves and engages like few other movies. This is the final theatrical cut; two other equally valid versions (one 150 minutes, the other 172 minutes) have been released in theaters and on DVD. No matter how you slice it, it’s a masterpiece.
