Ignite your palate with gratis tasting samples, including hot sauces, chili-infused chocolates and salsas from more than 40 local vendors (Sour Puss Pickles, Tumbador Chocolate, Whimsy & Spice). While you nibble, watch a performance by Peruvian-inspired psych-pop group Chicha Libre and world-fusion outfit Hazmat Modine, or explore the garden’s diverse pepper collection, which showcases cayenne, shishito and bhut jolokia varieties. Visit the Chile Pepper Farm Stand to purchase produce from local purveyors such as Viviano Family Farm; kids can pot their own chili plant as a take-home souvenir.
