Former Top Chef contender and three-time James Beard Award finalist Edward Lee (Louisville's 610 Magnolia) launches his cookbook, Smoke & Pickles, with a City Grit bash. Nosh on dishes straight from the book's pages, like yellow-squash soup shooters with cured strawberries, and curry pork pies with bacon, carrots and ginger. Then get your hands dirty at the pull-your-own pork station, where diners can fill lettuce wraps with pork shoulder, pickled veggies like spicy napa kimchi and dressings including Lee's Black BBQ sauce. After schmoozing with the chef and knocking back a few Singha beers, take home a signed copy of Lee's tome and a sample bottle of Red Boat Fish Sauce.
