The foodcentric film week kicks off with the New York premiere of Finding Gaston, a flick about famed Peruvian chef Gastón Acurio, accompanied by a tasting menu of ceviche, mashed potato causa and pisco sours from Cocina Peruana. During the five-day fest, catch "The Night Aquatic," a series of screenings including The Mobile Blues and Sweet, Sexy Ocean, paired with a seafood feast featuring sea urchin from Brad Farmerie, a shrimp boil by Kyle Knall (Gramercy Tavern, Maysville) and all-you-can-eat oysters from Fishers Island Oyster Farm—all of which benefits the Food Bank for New York City, the largest anti-hunger organization in the city.
