Opened in the old Tap & Grill space in Rockaway Beach, Playland Motel melds an beach-bar vibe and new-school hipsterism. The pleasingly ramshackle front-room serves strong drinks and food options which range from the expected burgers and pizza to various salads and "Pennsylvania pig-butt tacos." Name-brand DJs occasionally rock their beats in the massive back yard (and within the venue itself)—and if you party too hard, boutique rooms are available.

Great addition to Rockaway Beach. Cool rooms, GREAT pizza, and consistently good music on weekends. Looking forward to the coming summer!
I SEE THAT YOU ( OWNER OR MANAGER) CAN'T TAKE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. i HAD TO TELL YOU THAT YOUR CHICKEN AND WAFFLE SUCKED.. YOU DO NOT USE COENMEAL TO FRY CHICKEN IN ANY KITCHEN ANYWHERE!!!.. AND YOU CHARGED ME $11.00 DOLLARS FOR BRUCH THAT CAME WITH NOTHING. CHICKEN IS STILL COOKED WITH FLOUR, FISH WITH CORNMEAL. yOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY !!..yOU ARE RIGHT i DON'T HAVE TO EAT IN YOUR RESTAURANT AND NEITHER DO ANYONE IN THE BLDINGS NEAR YOU NOR MY FRIENDS...AS YOU MADE IT LOUD ,NASTY AND CLEAR AND YOU DON'T NEED OUR MONEY IN BAY TOWERS TOWERS.
I have to say the place is nice, I live at the corner of playland and I was curious to see, my boyfriend and when to have a drink and eat , I was a little mad because I hear there mojitos drinks was so good and they didn't have it
Love this place. Just hope it doesn't get too blown up too fast. Unique spot. Great food & drinks and mellow vibe. Go on the weekdays if you can, but there are really good DJ's on the weekends.
