A low-key mainstay within the ever-fancifying LES nightlife mecca, Arlene's Grocery is about as straightforward as NYC rock bars come. Each night the decently sized live room features a string of local artists of various persuasions—rock, metal, indie, singer-songwriter, etc.—most of them unknown hopefuls. Monday nights feature the club's signature Rock and Roll Karaoke, where patrons get the chance to step on stage and front a live band.
