After extensive renovation, this storied tennis stadium—home to memorable matches and concerts from the ’20s through the ’80s (including the Beatles, Stones, and others)—reopened its doors in 2013 with a rowdy Mumford & Sons gig. These days, the venue regularly hosts a wide variety of artists ranging from D'Angelo to the Replacements, Drake and Ed Sheeran.

One of the best things to happen,or re-happen,to Queens in many years.  Forest Hills Stadium, known as that "stone stadium you see from the train", is finally back.  After an almost 20 year slumber, this former site of the US Tennis Open is hosting bands once again.  Since 2013, with Mumford & Sons leading the way, the stadium has had multiple summer shows each year including The Replacements, The Who, and Ed Sheerhan.  The sound, for an outdoor location, is quite good.  Many drink and food stands keep the fans happy and eventually, they will do away with the porto potties too.  The history of performers that have graced the stage is overwhelming.  This list included The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, and Simon & Garfunkel.  Now, Forest Hills Stadium is adding to that list yearly.
