Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival

If you've ever jammed out to dope artists like De La Soul, Jay Z or a Tribe Called Quest, then you definitely get why Brooklyn is the perfect place for a hip-hop fest. The fest kicks off with the 11th Annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival Kickoff Party, followed by performances by Common and Mobb Deep. Duo Lion Babe and the PitchBlack Brass Band will also perform, while the Dummy Clap Film Festival will feature a special screening of the 1994 film Fresh; Juice Hip-Hop Exhibition highlights the history of up-and-coming DJs, MCs and graffiti artists.
