Glenn Danzig is a punch line in some circles, but he also happens to be one of the most brilliant singer-songwriters of his generation, a master at wedding occult themes to fiendishly hooky, emotionally weighty rock & roll. The New Jersey stalwart's current tour celebrates the 25th anniversary of Danzig, the ultra-badass 1988 debut by his eponymous band, so expect to hear classics such as "Twist of Cain" and "Am I Demon," along with the inevitable "Mother." Openers include muscle-bound former Misfit Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein—who'll join Glenn for a retrospective mini set—and A Pale Horse Named Death, the grungy gloom-metal act fronted by former Life of Agony and Type O Negative drummer Sal Abruscato.
