You probably remember this quirky Chicago alt-rock band for attaining music video virality in YouTube's toddler years. Since then, the crew's stuck to that path, with a line of quaintly kooky, captivating music videos—Rube Goldberg machines ’n’ all—that sometimes outshine the tunes soundtracking them. Nonetheless, 2014's Hungry Ghosts (which, yes, included a trippy, optical-illusion–laden video for the single “The Writing’s on the Wall”) confirmed the band hasn't lost its keen ear for polished, re-listenable pop hooks. Here the band plays a free outdoor gig for the second day of seaside music event, Lowdown Hudson Music Fest.
