This multiroom dance club, located next to the Wythe Hotel in North Williamsburg, was hailed as the savior of NYC nightlife even before it opened. Time will tell if that's even close to being true—but in the meantime, enjoy its great sound system and firm commitment to the underground, both in its house- and techno-heavy booking policy and general lack of bottle-service inanity.

A great night out! Incredible rooftop with views of the Empire State and Midtown with a full on club below playing all the tunes. Also a great day to night venue because of the rooftop and drinks weren't too expensive either, in comparison to other areas such as the Wythe Hotel next door.
Ah... The Funktion-One! What more can I say? But really, the sound is impeccable. World-class DJs every week. It can be a little overwhelming on a Friday or Saturday night, but there are also plenty of weekday shindigs (Thursdays are always fun), and the Panther Room can be a great place to catch some local talent on the best sound-system in the world.
