Ben Chasny, the guitarist behind Six Organs of Admittance, was last heard in the wild, noisy and oddly beautiful improv trio Rangda. He returns to his main project with this year's Ascent, a sprawling, bluesy take on cosmic psych-rock. Also on the bill is Blues Control, a duo that dwells at the dreamiest edges of krautrock and noise.
