At 4pm, sonic spelunker Jace Clayton, whom you might know as DJ Rupture, performs in support of his latest effort, The Julius Eastman Memory Depot. The work is a probing tribute to the late, nderappreciated composer, who created transporting minimalist works such as “Evil Nigger” and “Gay Guerrilla.” At 2pm, NYU museum studies director Bruce Altshuler leads a panel to discuss his new book, Biennials and Beyond: Exhibitions that Made Art History, 1962–2002.
