The Preservation Hall Jazz Band fell on hard times several years ago: The New Orleans treasure temporarily lost its home base when Hurricane Katrina forced its French Quarter namesake to shutter. Last year, however, the trad-jazz masters released an excellent benefit CD, which has the band playing with the likes of Andrew Bird, Merle Haggard and Tom Waits. Catch 'em in action and see what the fuss is about.
