London fourpiece Veronica Falls features members of short-lived art-punk group the Royal We, and weds sweet pop to a crude lo-fi buzz. It’s a familiar formula, trendy in the U.K. (in the ’80s) and Brooklyn (right now). Yet the group seems born to break hearts and jangle guitars on new album Waiting For Something to Happen. Beets frontman Juan Wauters opens in solo mode.
