The famously bummed Wilco sounds downright sunny on last year's The Whole Love, its eighth LP. The album finds the band settling into an almost Beatlesque pop vibe—determinedly melodic yet full of charming quirk. Fine support comes from retro-soul veterans Lee Fields and the Expressions on Monday, and Sonic Youth hero Lee Ranaldo on Tuesday.
