Description
The tables and chairs don’t match, and that’s just one of this East Village fixture’s charms. The menu covers plenty of territory with seasonal dishes like pan-seared halibut over shrimp- and asparagus-risotto, and pork loin with pine-nut studded couscous. The white-chocolate banana-bread pudding, made with croissants, is a reliable constant on the dessert menu.

  we had a very large group and the service (the unflappable franz) was excellent. if you're looking for a totally fresh restaurant experience - decor, food, staff - look no further. tired of paying megabucks for predicatably 'upscale' menu offerings? then danal is your next destination sensation.
