Antelope and python salad are among the ferocious fare available at this white-tablecloth Brooklyn Heights standby. The seasonal wild-game menu dazzles with hearty dishes such as fragrant, oregano-encrusted elk chops. Year-round winners include a mustard seed–crusted tuna drizzled with soy and mustard oil. Choosing between the affordable wine list and the stellar collection of beers (options include Belgium’s Chimay Rouge and England’s J. W. Lees Harvest Ale) is a challenge.

Melon soup, mustard crusted tuna and truffled fries were fantastic, matched wines interesting, and service prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was buzzing midweek, and the ferry ride from Manhattan was a blast too, great evening out.
