Barkeep-turned-baker Jane Danger (Cienfuegos) doles out cocktail-inspired sweets at this charming East Village shop. Cheery strawberries and yellow and white stripes are painted on the walls, the tin ceiling is tinted light blue, and behind the black-and-white tiled counter, Danger herself—the flame-haired, red-lipped proprietress—presides. Her bar background informs the treats: A buttery Old-Fashioned bun is baked with Four Roses bourbon, pecans and caramel; a cream-cheese–frosted Strawberry Fix is made with Aperol, gin and strawberries; and the Bramble tartlet relies on gin, lemon and blackberries.
