Paris’s haute house of macarons brings its delicate pastries stateside with this charming Upper East Side shop. You’ll find all the signature flavors, such as caramel, framboise and praline, plus New York–exclusive cinnamon-raisin. The precious decor—including antique upholstered chairs, bronze sconces and vintage-style wallpaper—pays tribute to the original, 149-year-old patisserie.

Ladurée has some of the most fabulous teas and macarons that I've ever had the pleasure of trying. Their signature tea is the Marie Antoinette, a lovely black tea, but my all-time favorite which I brew every morning is "Le Roi Soleil" - The Sun King. This green tea is perfect for the morning with a light and vibrant taste. No need for milk and sugar, these teas are fantastic on their own! This location does not yet brew the teas in their store, but they sell both loose leaf and bagged forms for home of all that they have to offer.
The macarons are just as scrumptious - I would recommend getting an assortment that includes the rose or the violet. Both are magnificent.
Be wary of how much time you have to spend, the line is usually running around the block!
