You won’t encounter sushi savants in this narrow, bamboo trimmed spot. Regulars are devoted to Americanized (and supersized) rolls such as the Monster (eel, shrimp, roe and vegetables), the Godzilla (mostly spicy tuna) and the Christmas (red tuna and roe; green avocado and seaweed). There are numerous hot entrées as well, like Tofu and Chicken, little pillows of lightly battered bean curd and tangy chicken served with crunchy green beans and carrots. The large selection of chilled sakes is sensibly priced. Mochi, little melt-in-your-mouth ice cream balls wrapped in soft rice dough, come in fresh flavors like mango and green tea.
