SEA Thai Restaurant and Bar
The DJ’s beats are thumping, the central pool is presided over by a giant Buddha, and the Billyburg crowd is decked out in the latest Bedford Avenue threads. For a place that’s so stylin’, the prices are shockingly cheap and the food is remarkably good. Jade seafood dumplings are stuffed with shrimp and crab and come with a nutty Massaman sauce. Rama the King, a blend of creamy Massaman and red curries topped with crunchy Terra Chips, is a reliable entrée. Another winning combination is a half-chicken, grilled with lemongrass and panang curry. Service can be scattered, but pomegranate mojitos will help you keep your cool.

This place is truly a Thai haven, and is more reminiscent of a hip South Beach restaurant than a place in Williamsburg.  The decor, the fountain, the swings and the really space agey bathrooms make this place a perfect go-to for Birthday's, special occasions, or just a fun night out. The waiters are super friendly, the menu has a ton of options (especially vegetarian options) and the portions are big enough so that you can get several dishes and share with friends. A lot of people I know in the area don't like SEA because of it's vibe, but this is the main reason why I love it so much. Definitely would get the spring rolls as an appetizer, any of the rice dishes or the drunk noodles (my favorite) and the sushi OR you could get all 4 and share!

You can't go wrong!
