Shake Shack, Upper East Side
Upper East Side

The Upper East Side location of Danny Meyer’s burger stand serves Shack standards, along with a menu of frozen concretes exclusive to this location (the “Pineapple Upper East Side Cake” is made of pineapple, shortbread and maraschino cherries). Carnivores of all sizes love the burgers made from fresh-ground sirloin and brisket and tucked inside a pillowy potato roll; vegetarians will be more than happy to sink their teeth into a satisfying portobello cap stuffed with cheese and onions. Though the single patties ($4.50) are kid-sized, a ten-spot will get Mom and Dad a Shackburger and a Budweiser.

Great place for a good and relatively cheap burger.I’m not really a fan of fancy and overpriced burgers at expensive restaurants.I’ll take a cheap, greasy, version any day. Also a good place for milkshakes and good beer and a pretty big outside area during the summer. The one downside is that the line can get insanely long sometimes, and there are not a lot of seats inside if it’s cold outside. But other than that, there are a lot of options for a good burger and crispy fries with dipping sauces, and it won’t kill your bank account compared to most other places.
