What a dump

As someone who travels constantly for business I'm always looking for that one place off the grid, so based on the reviews here I decided to give this place a try and WOW what a mistake it was eating here!! Crossing the bridge just to get there was my biggest mistake as not only were the choices slim at best but the service AND food were astoundingly bad! I can understand the "chef" having an off day but good GOD there is no excuse for serving what should've been considered slop as opposed to a "meal". It was downright embarrassing as I was entertaining a client and after mentioning the Yelp reviews as positive reinforcement my client was not pleased with my choice. As the old saying goes not everything is as it appears and considering how poorly our meal tasted there was no way I was about to subject either myself or my party to the risk of any of the pastries on display. I now believe the positive reviews I had read prior were written either by friends or family of the ownership as there is no way they're legit considering the assault my taste buds were subjected to. I would rather get my next meal from any one of the questionable bodegas that dot the Bronx landscape then ever stepping foot in this place again.
