The General Greene’s owner and pastry chef, Nicholas Morgenstern, is converting the back area of his Fort Greene restaurant into a retail grocery, stocking homemade items like granola and baby food, along with Counter Culture coffee, seasonal produce and a variety of canned and prepared foods (including take-home servings of Morgenstern’s ham-and-gruyere bread pudding).
