Time Out says

At just 25 years old, Candice Idehen has already seen her nail designs grace the covers of Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue Paris, worked backstage at runway shows for Louis Vuitton and Calvin Klein, and earned boldfaced-name clients such as Jessica Alba and Estelle. The prodigy opens her first salon, which makes getting a basic manicure ($20) or pedicure ($32) an indulgent experience. The exposed-brick space features modern chandeliers, a private back room for waxing services ($10–$60), six mirrored manicure stations and half a dozen thronelike velvet pedicure chairs with freestanding basins for a more sanitary foot soak. Idehen stocks polishes only from brands she’s tested and approved herself, including Chanel, Deborah Lippmann, Tom Ford, Essie and Marc Jacobs. You can book an appointment online for souped-up services, such as the Can’t Touch This deluxe manicure ($30) featuring a hot-oil hand wrap and the Make Them Kissable signature pedicure ($60), which includes a rose-infused milk bath, seasonal scrub and paraffin wrap. There’s even a so-called menicure ($40) that treats guys to a deep hand exfoliation. Long-lasting formulas from Bio Sculpture, Young Nails, and Artistic Colors are used for gel manicures ($40) and pedicures ($50), and serve as an ideal base for nail-art add-ons, ranging from Swarovski crystals ($5–$70) and ombré glitter ($20) to freehand designs ($5–$100).
