This well-known chain’s location at the Trump Building in the Financial District is not your average drugstore. The 22,000-square-foot, two-story food-and-beauty emporium offers impressive amenities such as a sushi bar with an in-shop chef, an expanded organic-produce section and even a machine that dispenses 130 varieties of Coca-Cola fountain drinks. Beauty mavens can head to the Sephora-rivaling Look Boutique to undergo virtual makeovers, during which a monitor snaps your picture and a computer touch screen allows you to apply shades of L’Oréal and Maybelline cosmetics digitally to your skin, eyes and lips. A complimentary automatic fragrance sampler spritzes your wrists with one of more than 40 scents, including Vera Wang Rock Princess ($60), Burberry Touch ($50) and Dolce & Gabbana the One Gentleman ($57). Visit an on-hand hairstylist for a free mane-and-scalp analysis or blowout ($35–$45) using Phyto products ($24–$60). Then head over to the nail salon for a manicure using Essie or OPI nail polishes ($10–$15), or a Shellac gel-nail polish job that lasts up to two weeks ($35). Investment bankers can pop by the retro, mahogany shoeshine stand to score an old-fashioned polish ($3); 100 percent of the proceeds benefit local charities, such as City Harvest, AIDS Walk and Susan G.
