Husband-and-wife design team Julie Haus Alkire and Jason Alkire open a simple black-and-white boutique for their locally made womenswear ($400–$3,000), which won the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation (eccodomani.com) award in 2012. Threads are pricey, but feature unusual fabrics such as washed silk twill, heavy hammered silk and lamb’s leather. Expect structured jackets ($1,800–$2,140), draped dresses ($595–$2,000) and printed sweaters ($395).
