Ann Taylor’s lower-price feminine basics brand opens its ninth NYC location. The shop, inside Rockefeller Center, is the first in the city to incorporate “styling closets,” a hub next to the dressing rooms containing apparel ($15–$118), jewelry ($15–$75), footwear ($30–$98) and accessories ($13–$70). Stylists on staff can help you mix and match items to create the perfect outfit. If you’re heading to the beach, pick up bikini tops ($45–$50) and bottoms ($37–$50), ruffle jersey tank dresses ($50), quirky transparent sunglasses ($25) and colorful straw tote bags ($60–$70). You’ll also find more outfitted mannequins than at other spots, spread throughout the store to provide sartorial inspiration. Look for stylish extras laid out on round tables including multicolored beaded bracelet sets ($15–$40), tie-dyed linen clutches ($20) and floral-print scarves ($35–$40).
