The preppy brand’s menswear gets a flagship of its own at this stunningly ornate French Renaissance revival mansion. Built as a residence at the turn of the 20th century, Ralph Lauren restored the original dramatic interiors so the store feels more like a grand old home than a sales floor. The first two levels showcase pricier items like custom suits and sportswear from the Purple Label, while the third floor features wallet-friendly Polo apparel and accessories with a dedicated area where you can create your own polo shirt ($80). On the fourth floor, peruse the sleek Black Label and sporty, moderately priced RLX Ralph Lauren line. Gentlemen can pick up tartan canvas fishing bags ($695) and plaid boots ($450) for the weekends at the country estate, or Polo Ralph Lauren wool vests ($165) for Harvard football games.
