Kiehl’s Since 1851’s first spa is outfitted with New York subway tiles, a David LaChapelle rain-forest photomural and antique fixtures. Clients wear pairs of Havaianas sandals during their treatments and can play with iPads in the lounge. Gadgets and accessories aside, the real draw here are the services, which incorporate ingredients like squalene and beta-carotene, also found in Kiehl’s products. Treat your skin with the Ultra Facial (60 minutes, $145), which includes cleansing, exfoliation, extractions and hydration, or detox your entire body during a Deeply Nourishing and Moisturizing Body Polish (60 minutes, $40), with a soy-milk–and-honey scrub. Guys can book a Men’s Refueling Facial (60 minutes, $145), which incorporates a deep wash, peel and microdermabrasion, or get an Old School Brush and Blade Shave ($35), involving essential-oil-infused hot towels and a scalp massage.
