Graceful Services

Graceful Services
Midtown East
Located on the second floor of an office building, Grace Macnow’s no-frills spot is known for its talented technicians and great values—just don’t expect pampering. After checking in at the desk (be sure to make any arrangements at this point—there’s a bit of a language barrier once you leave the office), you’ll be taken back into the hallway and around the corner to a different suite, where tables are lined up between curtains. Massages run from $50–$100 and facials average $80–$125. Look out for package deals, such as an hour-long facial and an hour-long massage, both for $120.

The massage was just a routine rub down not very therapeutic. Their version of deep tissue massage was just a hard massage with seemingly no knowledge of human anatomy.

I had difficulty communicating with the person performing the massage! The fact that the so called "therapist" couldn't communicate in english raised a huge red flag. In order to be licensed to practice in NY EACH therapist is supposed to have their own license. Grace Macnow may have a license but, I'm willing to bet, the people she has performing the actual massage are unlicensed which is illegal in NY.

Lesson learned - you get what you pay for. next time I'll get a REAL Massage elsewhere not the cheapo stuff.
