  • Well, I figured if I can still hardly sit for an hour without back pain it is time to get back into yoga. If I can't handle sitting in class it might disrupt learning. I found The Downtown Bikram studio, Great. My back will be feeling better in a week! The only problem is, it is the most rank studio I have ever been in, and I grew up on a farm! The lingering smell of putrified sweat mixed with dead rats in the wall was enough to make me never want to go back and it takes allot to gross me out! The ironic thing is I thought the studio was supposed to be a place that reflected and taught cleanliness and discipline. What are people so spoiled these days we can only teach them to not be comfortable through rotten air? I have heard all kind of excuses as to why they don't change the carpet in these studio's but I think it is really due to the owners being cheap! The Bikram classes in India are outdoors I am sure so it is not an issue. I think they should be mold tested and the carpet replaced in due to it being a health hazard... Looks like I'm going to have to find yoga somewhere else :/ Other than that, the class was great.
