In a Basics II class, sun salutations and basic yoga poses (downward-facing dog, warriors one and two, bridge, etc.) are interspersed with more difficult work, like inversions (poses that lift the feet above the head), and class begins with chanting and prayers in Sanskrit. Hands-on instruction makes it easier to stay motivated.
