Yogasana offers Iyengar yoga at three levels of expertise, which they label “beginner,” “advanced beginner,” and “intermediate” - apparently you'll have to get your advanced training somewhere else. They also have special needs classes including restorative, back care and prenatal. The crowd is what you might expect at a Park Slope North yoga studio: mostly stroller-pushers, with some recent college grads thrown in. Of particular interest is a female-only class, "an empowering way for women to connect with their cycles,” says studio owner Kristen Davis. Expect to practice poses that help tame the side effects of menstruation and pregnancy.
