This is actually the venue name for the Soho Rep (when the plays are rentals, the venue is called Walkerspace). Just south of Canal Street, this little 74-seat theater with its steep rows of comfortable benches is one of those rare things: a well-designed small space. Even underdesigned work tends to look good in its snug environs, and yet there is ample room for blockbuster sets (like the massive, splitting hotel room from Sarah Kane’s Blasted) in case you like your theater spectacular.
