Young German Jewish woman Luzie Hatch took refuge in New York City only a week after the devastating Night of Broken Glass (or Kristallnacht) in 1938, and while living with her rescuer and cousin Arnold Hatch, she continued to reach out to her family who weren't able to leave. Charlotte R. Bonelli, the director of the archives of the American Jewish Committee, joins historian Susan Zuccotti to uncover the unique side of Holocaust history that Hatch's experience uncovered.
