Have you ever wanted to dress up like a character in Baywatch and then go dance in a park with a lot of other like-minded people? Well, you can every Friday night for the rest of the summer at Lola Star’s Wipe Out Skate Party, where revelers are encouraged to roller-skate in Prospect Park clad in orange one-piece swimsuits. A DJ will be blasting ’80s and ’90s jams all night long, making the LeFrak Center at Prospect Park’s Lakeside the coolest roller rink this side of 1978. The $15 admission also includes skate rental, so heck, take a date, treat ’em to a good time! Between all the spray tans, gnarly guitar and saxophone solos, and orange Lycra swimsuits on wheels, there’s gonna be a whole lot to laugh at. Nobody roller-skates to look dignified: The whole point is to have a good time and sweat to some good tunes. What better place to do it than a balmy Friday night in Prospect Park?
