New York Festival of Light

The incandescent event full of illuminated, colorful lights features artist Tupac Martir’s installation of LED strip-adorned umbrellas and a performance by neo soprano Nicole Renaud, set aglow by the singer’s luminous accordion and wardrobe. Grab a ramen burger ($8) from the food-truck court, and duck under the Manhattan Bridge for Howard Ungerleider’s laser show: a spectacle of smoke and lights similar to those he’s designed for Rod Stewart and Van Halen concerts.
