Best collaborations

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target

Fans of the contemporary designer’s ability to blur the line between dressy and casual won’t be disappointed by this set of budget-friendly clothing ($20–$300) and accessories ($20–$60) for both sexes. The 100-piece assortment features a dark, neutral palette punctuated by muted florals, faux-leather accents and nontraditional camo prints. Standouts include women’s long-sleeved, floral-print blouses ($30) and mini satchels ($35) that resemble Lim’s best-selling Pashli bags. Visit target.com.

Isabel Marant pour H&M

The Parisian womenswear designer lends her edgy, bohemian aesthetic to the Swedish chain through this limited-edition collection, inspired by her eponymous line. While the prospect of being able to nab Marant’s trendsetting wedge sneakers for a fraction of the usual cost is exciting enough, the partnership also marks her debut foray into men’s clothing. Details are scant, but a first look released via H&M’s Twitter account revealed a printed slouchy dress and fringed booties with conical heels, in Marant’s signature neutral hues. Visit hm.com.

Jason Wu for Lancôme

Although both parties have crossed over into the beauty and fashion worlds—Wu created a five-piece polish line for CND in 2011, while Lancôme has collaborated with designers L’Wren Scott and Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz—this partnership stretches beyond a single limited-edition collection. The 15-piece assortment of makeup for eyes, lips and nails is just the first in a series of joint releases, and includes shimmery five-color eye-shadow palettes ($45), cream eye-shadow pots ($25), richly pigmented lipsticks ($26), high-gloss lacquers ($15), a navy mascara ($27), a precision-tip liquid liner ($30) and a dual-end shadow-and-liner brush ($33). Grab the Color Design compact in 403 Violet Streak to re-create the bold purple cat-eye look that was featured at Wu’s fall/winter 2013 runway show. Visit bergdorfgoodman.com.

Revlon by Marchesa

Revlon by Marchesa

The beauty brand’s global artistic director, Gucci Westman, was behind the makeup looks at Marchesa’s recent bridal and ready-to-wear fashion shows, so it’s no surprise that the two companies are taking their relationship one step further with this three-part collab. Nail art is the focus of the first collection, which features eight styles of 3-D adhesive strips (18 decals, $10) inspired by designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig’s opulent gowns. Visit revlon.com.

Rebecca Minkoff

Rebecca Minkoff

Since launching her eponymous line in 2001, Rebecca Minkoff has quickly grown her brand from handbags to include jewlery, women's clothing, footwear, and—most recently—denim. Her rapidly expanding empire gets its first U.S. flagship in the 2,000-square-foot space that Kirna Zabete once called home. While details are still under wraps, a three-day pop-up for Minkoff’s jeans gave shoppers a sneak peek at the store this past July—and we have our fingers crossed that the graffiti scribbled on the walls by guests such as Coco Rocha and Leandra Medine will remain part of the permanent decor.

The ground floor serves as a boutique, while the second holds a 1,400-square-foot retreat. Every therapist undergoes three months of training, so you know you’re in good hands when experiencing Validation essential-oil facials and Good Hour full-body deep tissue massages.
