Clinton-era nostalgia looks like it's here to stay, and the Saved by the ’90s: A Party with the Bayside Tigers bash is a great place to revel in it. The Bayside Tigers is a four-piece cover band with a pretty big cult following that specializes in songs of all genres—as long as they're from the ’90s—and the group really knows how to make Le Poisson Rouge’s glitzy downtown dance floor feel like a genuine house party. Dressing up is encouraged: snap bracelets, Converse, big hair and overly baggy JNCO jeans; you name it, somebody will probably be wearing it. If you want to mosh to “Smells Like Teen Spirit” or are simply looking for an excuse to “save tonight,” a ’90s-themed soiree is a great way to blow off some steam and “give it away, give it away, give it away now.” Celebrities such as Aaron Carter, Naughty by Nature and Dustin Diamond (a.k.a. Screech from Saved by the Bell) have been known to partake in LPR’s semifamous Friday night ’90s dance party, so you never know who might show up.
