    Description

Opened in 1897, the Brooklyn Museum is the second-largest art institution in New York, housing more than 500,000 works—from ancient Egyptian relics (including 8th century B.C. sarcophagii) to modern feminist art (like Judy Chicago's The Dinner Party). On the first Saturday of every month, the museum offers free admission, live music, screenings, talks and a dance party.
