One of the few remaining neighbourhood locals that seem untouched by Old Town's tourist hordes, this old-fashioned pub serves up unpasteurised Pilsner Urquell. Many have dubbed this bitter lager the Czech Republic's finest; a more fitting place to sample three or four would be hard to find in the old centre. Amos, the attached restaurant, is handy if the taste of authentic pivo brings on a yen for Bohemian duck or pork with sauerkraut. Service is classically gruff.
