Opened in 2002 on via Margutta, a street famed for its arty, crafty studios, the Hotel Art sticks to its theme throughout. The lobby area - with white pods serving as check-in and concierge desks - sets the modern tone; only the ceiling retains a touch of the classic (it was once a chapel, arched ceilings and all). Hallways are in acidic shades of orange, yellow, green and blue, while the rooms themselves are decorated in a serene palette of neutrals, with parquet floors and chunky wood furniture.
