This friendly hotel has a pretty little terrace area shaded by big umbrellas on a quiet square between bustling campo Santa Maria Formosa and St Mark's. From a tiny reception area, stairs lead up to bedrooms pleasantly decorated in sober Venetian style; all are spacious, but try to secure one with a view of the square rather than the side alley.
