Locanda Cipriani

Locanda Cipriani review Rate it

Some people might argue that there's no point in going to Venice and staying on the island of Torcello, but this famous green-shuttered inn is special enough to justify the remoteness of the setting, at least for a couple of nights. Some of the six rooms (done out in understated, elegant country style) look over the hotel's gorgeous garden; you might end up in the one where Ernest Hemingway wrote Across the River and into the Trees, apparently standing up because of haemorrhoids.
