Austin restaurants and bars are raising money for Harvey victims—and they need your help

It was a rough weekend for Texas, as the affects of tropical storm Harvey are still being felt across the state. Houston was hit especially hard, and to help our fellow Texans out, a handful of Austin restaurants and bars are taking action, donating proceeds and organizing benefit dinners to raise money for disaster relief. Below is a list of continuously updated local eateries and bars that are doing their part: 

Boiler Nine Bar + Grill is donating a portion of their happy hour proceeds (4-7pm daily) to the American Red Cross until August 31.

Bufalina is donating all proceeds from margherita pizza sales to the Houston Food Bank on August 30.

Freedmen's is accepting donations from August 29 to September 3 for deliveries to Rockport and Port Aransas, including items such as baby diapers, new socks, underwear, cleaning supplies, blankets and more.

LeRoy and Lewis is donating a portion of the proceeds from their Labor Day Texas Highway Smokeout with Houston-based Patrick and Erin Feges of Feges BBQ, when they'll be offering whole hog, cabrito and pulled lamb plates on September 4 from 11am to 4pm. Donations will go towards the Red Cross.

Jacoby Restaurant Group (Jacoby's, Grizzelda's) will donate $2 for every burger, Melvin Mule, Picadillo Taco and Grizz Mizz sold (as well as $10 for every bottle of wine purchased) to the American Red Cross.

Yard Bar is holding a donation drive for the entire month of September, accepting donations for animals like leashes, collars, dog and cat food, blankets and more. Make a donation and receive $5 off your Yard Bar tab. You can also buy a Smirnoff cocktail or any "Underdog" cocktail and Yard Bar will donate $2 to Harvey relief. 

Freebirds World Burrito is accepting canned goods and bottled water to donate to local food banks until September 3.

Red Horn Coffee House & Brewing Co is donating $1 for every drip coffee and house beer sold throughout the week.

Moontower Saloon is hosting a Harvey Flood Benefit on September 16, with free live music, benefit food plates and prizes. All proceeds will go towards relief organizations, and water and canned food will be accepted for the food bank.

Cheer Up Charlie's is collecting donations until September 2, when they'll be given to the Houston Humane Society and Global Giving.

Poke Poke is donate $1 for every order sold to hurricane relief.

Wright Bros. Brew & Brew is donating $1 for every beer sold this week to storm relief efforts.

Kyoten Sushiko will donate $40 for each dinner guest between now and September 10 to a recovery fund set up by Houston Texan football player JJ Watt.

Buenos Aires Cafe is donating a portion of its proceeds from their Cena Show on Wednesday to the Austin Animal Center.

District Kitchen + Cocktails and Oasthouse Kitchen + Bar will donate a portion of their earnings on August 31 to the Red Cross.

St. Elmo Brewing Co. is accepting food, water, clothing and money, and is also donating $1 for every pint of Rain beer sold.
