It's the weekend! You've worked hard to get to this point, so you deserve to play hard, too. We've curated our favorite events happening around Austin for the next few days, from pop-ups to festivals to grand openings—all you have to do is round up your crew. Have a great weekend, y'all!

Fri 14

Hot Summer Nights
All weekend long, a new—and free!—music series is taking over the Red River Cultural District. Ten of the area's best venues are participating, including Mohawk, Barracuda, Stubb's, Empire Control Room & Garage, Side Bar, Waller Creek Pub House and more. And the bands? The lineup is pretty legit, with performances by The Octopus Project, Magna Carda, Golden Dawn Arkestra, Mike and the Moonpies and upwards of 100 additional acts. There's a lot going on, so your best bet is to check out each venue's site for individual schedules. Friday through Sunday at various times

B Scene: Colors of India
To kick off the opening of "Epic Tales from Ancient India: Paintings from The San Diego Museum of Art," the Blanton will be hosting an evening of Indian food, music and art. Try bites from Puli-Ra, G'Raj Mahal and Tarka Indian Kitchen; listen to DJ Nish spinning Mumbai vibes; and watch Anuradha Naimpally of Austin Dance India demonstrate a classic Indian dance. Get your tickets here. Friday at 6pm

A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline
Kicking off Tex-ARTS' 2017-18 professional-series season, this jukebox-musical review of country crossover star Cline and her greatest hits tells the story of the singer's life, from small-town girl to music legend. Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm, Sunday at 2pm

Sat 15

The Halal Guys
New York City's The Halal Guys, a now-ubiquitous fleet of street carts serving Middle Eastern and Mediterranean fare, is hosting its grand opening in Austin on Saturday—and you can better believe the lines are going to be as long as they are in New York. We recommend the gyro beef platter or, if you're a vegetarian, the falafel sandwich. Saturday at 11am

Welcome to Night Vale's live broadcast
The community update for desert town Night Vale will be broadcast from the Paramount this week, bringing the acclaimed podcast written by Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor back to Austin. Jason Webley, a raucous American musician often seen with his accordion, will be waiting in the wings. Saturday at 8pm

Sun 16

Sunday Ritual yoga class
Sling your yoga mat over your shoulder and head to the South Congress Hotel on Sunday for a morning yoga session with Wanderlust. Sunday Ritual, led by Wanderlust Yoga's Kate Waitzkin, is a 75-minute vinyasa class accompanied by a live soundtrack (shout out to DJ Alfa Leone). Tickets are $20 and include free parking, a swag bag and all the good vibes. Snag your ticket here. Sunday at 10am

Easy Sunday Summer
Cans of Real Ale beer are only $1 at Easy Tiger's event, featuring screenprinting and a Nixon pop-up shop. Sales benefit Hill Country Conservancy, and you can snag a free beer before the festivities if you meet at Fine Southern Gentlemen at 12:30pm for a social ride with Bikin' Betties that ends at Easy Tiger. Sunday at 2pm
